We are currently recruiting for a Database Administrator and Web/PHP Developers.

Database Administrator

Job Type: Permanent

Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, West London

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Start Date: Immediate

Our business is supplying Internet, telecoms, hosting and VOIP services to a broad range of business, wholesale and residential customers.

Now we are looking for a DBA who can demonstrate experience with both MS-SQL Server 2005 or above AND MySQL Server.

Essential Skills:-
* 3 Years plus MS-SQL Server 2005/8 experience.
* 2 Years plus My-SQL Server.
* Experience of creation and maintenance of a complex MI environment using SQL Reporting Service.
* Practicable experience in Monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
* Good conceptual data modelling experience.
* Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects.
* Strong understanding of managing the balance between availability and security.
* Solid working knowledge of Linux and MS Server operating systems.
* Experience of OLAP, Transaction SQL and DTS Stored procedures & Data Warehouses.

Preference will be given to those candidates holding Microsoft Certification. (ie MCDBA or MCITP)

You will be working with Systems Analysts, Developers and Testers - to provide services to an array of clients.

PHP Web Developer

Job Type: Permanent

Our business is supplying Internet, telecoms, hosting and VOIP services to a broad range of business, wholesale and residential customers.

Now looking for a number of PHP Web Developers to join our team full-time. Each ideal candidate will work on the development and implementation of a wide variety of Web-based products using PHP, JavaScript, JQuery , MySQL, MsSQL and AJAX.

Responsibilities:-
* Participate in a team-oriented environment to develop complex Web-based applications.
* Maintain existing codebases to include troubleshooting bugs and adding new features.
* Convert data from various formats (Excel, ACCESS etc.) into developed databases.
* Interface with customers directly to: gather requirements, troubleshoot problems, training etc.
* Balance a variety of concurrent projects.

Essential Skills:-
* 2+ years creating complex, data-driven applications for the web using PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS, etc.
* 2+ years writing and maintaining SQL in MySQL databases.
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to new ideas required in a diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
* Detailed knowledge of web application development and extensive experience using PHP and Javascript as well as relational databases such MySQL and MsSQL.
* Proven hands-on experience with web application frameworks such as Zend, etc.
* Proven hands-on experience with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery and EXT JS.
* Experience developing cross-browser frontends using XHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript.
* Organisation and analytical skills, with strong problem solving ability.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Experience with version control systems such as SVN.
* Hands-on experience with LINUX especially using command line tools and writing SHELL scripts.
* Experience using common business software such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and VISIO to visualise, discuss and present ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
