"It's time for change!" - Elizabeth Sparrow

COMMS DEALER: Vol. 14, Issue. 4, September 2009, page 15.

‘It’s time for change’ is a phrase often associated with political sloganeering, but I believe the business community needs to take heed of this sentiment in order to have any hope of surviving the challenges of economic recession.

Elizabeth07It’s time to think about building real partner ships with each other, based on a footing that gives smaller businesses the opportunity to grow, whilst benefiting from the support of a larger company. Companies operating in the same arena traditionally view each other’s operations as a competitive threat. CEOs might be forgiven for thinking they let the competition get too close at the risk of being robbed of existing customers, or that larger organisations getting a niff of their success might gobble them up as a light snack before moving on to the next acquisition. O-bit Telecom is proposing a radical re-invention of the business partnership, based on the idea that both companies should get the benefit of what they put into a working relationship. Of course, we get something out of it too, but with complete transparency in every aspect of our business model, we aim to earn the trust of our commercial partners and ensure that they are comfortable with every aspect of the deal we present to them.
