Purple: The colour of margin

This month’s issue of Comms Dealer features an article on the Phase Two launch of Purple Networks, see here a copy of the piece that appears on page 41 of the magazine.

Following the successful launch of Purple Networx – O-bit Telecom’s dedicated voice and broadband network – resellers can now take advantage of the additional services being offered on the network, Purple CPE, Purple Vision and Purple Handsets. As well as existing VoIP solutions, resellers are now able to offer white-labelled IP telephone systems and handsets, as well as business reporting and management software.

All three of these new services are designed to work together, meaning that resellers can provide an integrated, IP-based resource management and telephony solution to their customers. Commenting on the second phase of Purple Networx, Dave Breith, CEO of O-bit Telecom, said: “As well as making it easier for organisations to use IP phone systems and monitor business processes, these services can offer cost savings over traditional solutions.”

The Purple CPE service allows resellers to offer a scalable IP-based business telephone system for organisations requiring between four and 100,000 IP, analogue or GSM/3G/UMTS telephone extensions. Purple CPE operates as a single system, no matter how many separate sites, homeworking, remote or mobile employees are included, and the service can be configured and managed via any web browser. Purple CPE offers a wide range of features, including transferable extension numbers, multi-site hot desking, voicemail, autoattendant, unified messaging and call recording.

Purple Vision is a suite of software applications that allow business owners to manage all aspects of their company. The software allows businesses to collect information on every department and every individual, whether in the office or remote working. It also allows real-time information to be delivered to department heads and managers wherever they are, through whatever device they are using, including smartphones, web browsers, or internet-enabled desk phones.

“As Purple Vision has been designed to integrate with Purple CPE, it is easy for resellers to offer both solutions as a combined package,” added Breith.

He highlighted that the flagship phone in the Purple Phones family is the PNCS 580G, a touch screen IP phone with a built in web browser, providing users with a range of advanced telephony features, including video calls and IPTV services.

Breith noted: “As well as helping businesses to cut the costs of their calls, the combination of these services can help businesses to improve call handling, increase satisfaction and make business processes more efficient.”
